I really enjoyed the narrative project and the process I did when putting it together. For the final open project I would like to continue that. My idea is to show a city in 3 different extremes, all in one image. Urban environments and how they interact with the world around them really interest me. The very much WIP image below has a hot desert on the left side, and a cold snowy field on the right. In the middle I would like to have an area of a temperate climate. . To push it to a new level, I would like to manipulate the image once its printed. I see my self as a painter and drawer and would like to incorporate that into this piece. With this in mind, I don't plan on bringing the image to full completion digitally, but rather bring it to completion with the surface manipulation once it is printed. This is a new way of working for me, and I am excited to see what a secondary surface can bring to my digital work.

I have been working on two different images. Not sure if the final will look anything like these, but they have certainly helped me focus in on my concept and give me some good ideas to play with.

With this project I want to focus on colors and how they can be found cycling around us. The colors of nature change day by day, and when looked at in a broader sense have a cyclical pattern. The images I gathered were taken with this in mind and all capture something about color, such as green leaves beside red leaves and brown branches against a blue sky.
